Tickets on the Trains

In NYC, if you want to ride the subway, you need to swipe your metrocard to enter. Throughout Europe, you buy your ticket, and validate it...they use an honor system. People have told me they were saving money by not validating their tickets, but then they got caught. I figured it is just best if I pay for a ticket. Today on the train, with my validated ticket, some plainclothes transit worker came around checking everyone s tickets. He caught this guy without a valdiated ticket who was dressed in an extremely expensive suit. So be careful and validate your ticket, always.
