The train from Munich to Florence is WAY too long ( 9 hours) BUT it does go through the Austrian alps which are amazingly beautiful and keep you occupied staring out the window. I ran into some friends from school in Florence and I am crashing in their apartment for the weekend when the hostels are the most expensive. I think onto Rome next for two days then Naples! CIAO!
