Euro train news item
Sent in by Joe E:
At last - competition on continental rail passes between travel agents. Trainseurope (01354 660222, www.trainseurope.co.uk) is cutting prices on a range of "Eurodomino" unlimited-travel passes. These passes allow, for example, three days' travel in France for a single payment of £122, or a pound more for the same in Germany. The discounts offered are a couple of pounds, but considering that some agents charge a booking fee there are worthwhile savings to be made. The company can also sell seats on specialist trains and boats in Europe.
