The Eurail Blog ran from 2003 to 2011 as part of the BootsnAll Travel Network. People wrote it while they were actually on the trains, mostly in Europe, mostly on a rail pass.
There are 392 posts here, and they are treated two different ways.
The guide is 18 of them, the pieces about how to actually do this: passes, packing, arriving, money. Those are kept up to date. They are the same pieces, by the same people, saying the same things, with the facts brought current, because advice that is out of date is worse than no advice. Each one says at the foot when it was last updated.
Everything else stands as it was written. The trips, the diaries, the arguments. Prices, timetables and opening hours in those are as old as the posts, so treat every number in them as history rather than as advice.

Who wrote a post and whose name the records carry turned out to be two different questions. The bylines above come from archived copies of the original pages. The database that survived says something else on 344 of the 404 posts that can be checked: 263 of Ant's were filed under Chris, 55 of Cherie's under the administrator who moved the site in 2020, and only Kelly Amabile's run came through untouched.
Chris edited a great many of these posts over the years, which is how his name came to sit on the records, and he is credited for that under the posts he worked on. 9 posts have no surviving archived page and carry no byline at all, rather than a name more likely wrong than right.
What changed
Links were checked one by one. Anything pointing at a dead page, a parked domain or an old affiliate redirector had its link removed and its words kept, so a sentence still reads the way it was written.
